Sannomaru — Night Cherry Blossom Frame
Night Cherry Blossom White Heron / At Sannomaru Square
On a spring evening, the illuminated Himeji Castle and night cherry blossoms create a magical collaboration. A leisurely stroll through Sannomaru Square at night is a special experience unique to this season.
The Story
The collaboration of the illuminated Himeji Castle and Yozakura (cherry blossoms at night) in the spring evening is truly magical. Taking a leisurely stroll through Sannomaru Square at night is a delightful and uplifting experience unique to this season.
This particular photograph was composed by using the surrounding full-bloom cherry blossom branches as a natural picture frame, capturing the dignified Main Keep perfectly in the center.
Beyond the beauty of the blossoms and the grandeur of the architecture, the lively yet peaceful presence of people enjoying Hanami (cherry blossom viewing parties) under the trees is an essential part of the castle town's spring scenery. One day, I secretly plan to capture a sweeping photograph that includes the joyful gatherings of these people, adding a new chapter to these "Thirty-Six Views."
