Profile

Technologist in Hong Kong,
Enthusiast in Himeji.

The heat of Hong Kong, the serenity of Himeji.
Moving between two cities, two perspectives.
Born in Himeji, 1964. Based in HK since 1993.

"From Gadgets to Photography."

It all started in 1993, when I moved to Hong Kong and fell in love with the electronics district of Sham Shui Po. After the iPhone came along, I discovered the joy of taking photos, and my passion for gadgets eventually led me to build my own camera accessories. Before I knew it, the device in my hand had evolved from an iPhone to a Leica.

After years of living abroad, returning home to walk around Himeji Castle among foreign tourists, I realized for the first time the true greatness of my hometown castle that had always been "too close to see."

"Shirasagi Sanjūrokkei" is an attempt by one enthusiast with an outsider's perspective to redefine and share the beauty and stories of Himeji Castle with the world.
